Indie shooter Stratogun blasting onto Steam next year

Stratogun is an arcade-style shoot ‘em up influenced by classics such as Asteroids, Super Stardust HD and  Robotron 2084. Developers Horsefly Games say that, “Stratogun offers a modern twist on the iconic space shooters of the ’80s, challenging players to survive a relentless onslaught of enemies while battling for supremacy on the global leaderboard.”

They g on to add that ,”with Stratogun, every moment is a test of your skills, reflexes, and determination. Whether you’re a veteran of classic arcade shooters or a newcomer looking for a thrilling challenge, Stratogun promises an experience that will keep you coming back for more. It’s a true love letter to the arcade era, delivered with a modern twist that’s as intense as it is addictive.”

Stratogun promises “uncompromised arcade gameplay [that] stays true to its arcade roots with uncompromising gameplay and difficulty. It’s easy to pick up but incredibly tough to master. Every run counts as your score is converted into experience points, allowing you to unlock new gear that gives you an edge in future runs.”

Sounds right up our street, as we hope to find out when Stratogun is released on Steam in March 2025. Stratogun has been developed by Horsefly Games, a Finnish indie game studio who describe themselves as being “dedicated to creating thrilling, high-quality games that pay homage to the classics while delivering fresh, modern experiences. With Stratogun, we aim to capture the spirit of arcade gaming and bring it to a new generation of players.”
