We love turn-based games here at Retro Faith and we also love dinsosaurs, so hearing news of a new title combining both is exciting. Sourge of the Reptiles is a new turn-based RPG that pits dinosaurs, humans and elves against each other following a devastating meteor strike. Developer Kyoti Games has described it as a “party-based tactical RPG set in a low fantasy prehistoric world.”
Scourge of the Reptiles is heavily inspired by tabletop and western role-playing video games released before the turn of the century. It’s due for release to Steam next year and has been in development for several years. As the hero can control and ride the giant beasts, they venture forth with a party to discover that the world is much bigger than they initially thought.
Scourge of the Reptiles features a deep combat system that harkens back to classic tactics roleplaying. You’ll fight against and alongside mighty reptiles, fierce undead and human civilisations. Positioning and strategic thinking are the keys to victory. Command a party of warriors, sorcerers, and their dinosaur companions to tackle all enemies that come your way, be they humanoid or reptilian.
