Iron Meat, the new run ‘n’ gun from publisher Retroware, is launching on 26th September 2024 on Steam, Epic, Itch.io, GOG, VK, Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. The game features classic pixel art infused with traditional shooter mechanics. It also has two-player couch co-op and multi-phas boss fights.

According to Retroware’s press release, “Iron Meat is an intense run-and-gun arcade shooter that thrusts players into a chaotic, apocalyptic future where THE MEAT, an all-consuming interdimensional biomass, mutates everything in its path. The gameplay is fast-paced and brutal, combining classic arcade mechanics with intense, bullet-dodging action. “

It’s also good news for physical collectors as Strictly Limited Games has a Switch and PS5 copies for sale, although the Switch port is currently sold out. Those wanting to try before they buy can download a demo from the Steam store now.
