The Mega Drive indie scene just keeps going from strength to strength recently. We have news of another crowdfunding campaign looking to bring a new title to Sega fans. The Cursed Legacy is an impressive action platformer from Broke Studio that has already smashed its initial funding goal. It mixes traditional run ‘n’ gun elements with exploration and some mini-games.

The game is 100% finished and is now just looking to secure pre-orders before releasing in March 2025. Backers of The Cursed Legacy can look forward to a cart with a box as well as a digital version to use on emulators. Those wanting something special can opt for a 2-in-1 pack that includes Broke Studio’s other Mega Drive title The Cursed Knight.

The game is heading to physical carts thanks to generous backers who helped fund the project in 28 hours with plenty of time for others to get involved as it still has 24 days to go. Those wanting to try before they buy can download a demo for use in emeulators or ROM carts.
