Alan Sugar planning ‘Amstrad Museum’ website

These days, Alan Sugar is probably best known for barking “yer fired!” at contestants on his BBC reality gameshow, but to us retro gamers he’ll always be the bloke who owned Amstrad. The Amstrad CPC is perhaps justifiably seen as coming third in the 8-bit home computer race, behind the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64, but the computer certainly has its fans, and if you’re one of them, Lord Sugar would like to hear from you!

On X, which we all still call “Twitter” despite what Elon Musk would prefer, Alan Sugar outlined his intention to create an ‘Amstrad Museum’ website, asking for “great memories or anecdotes about Amstrad products you’ve owned over the years.”

So, if you’ve got anything that fits the bill, burn rubber over to X and tweet them to Lord Sugar, along with a picture and the hashtag , and perhaps you could go down in the Alans of Amstrad history! Sorry, the annals of Amstrad history.
