When Nintendo first announced that SNES games were coming to Nintendo Switch Online, we were understandably excited, and since then, the Switch Online catalogue of SNES titles just keeps expanding, with more and more obscure titles joining the classics you’d expect to see on there.

This week’s additions to the Switch Online SNES catalogue are the crossover beat ‘em up  Battletoads Double Dragon (1993), Namco puzzle game Cosmo Gang The Puzzle (1992), the racing game Big Run (1991), and the sports title  Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō (1993).

Cosmo Gang The Puzzle was reworked into Pac Attack for release outside Japan, and Kunio-kun no Dodgeball da yo Zen’in Shūgō has not previously been released outside of Japan. As ever, we can’t help but feel a little frisson of excitement at having games that weren’t originally seen over here outside of reviews in Super Play, or perhaps in grey import shops just being delivered directly to our consoles, even if it is now over  30 years after their first release.
