Sad news to report today as NERD Arcade has announced it will close its doors for the last time at the end of October. The North East UK arcade was opened in May 2020 and came about from passionate retro fans who are part of the North East Retro Den Facebook group. It opens on Saturdays and Sundays and has a single entry price with all machines on free-to-play. It features lots of great arcade games spanning many generations.

The owners of the arcade have said they will still be present at the local NERD Fright Fest, being held at Parks Sports Centre on 20th October 2024, and other local events going forward. They’ve also said that anyone with vouchers for the arcade will need to use them up before closure. We wish the team the best of luck going forward.
