It’s that time of the month when Evercade announces its latest free game to download. This month we have the indie treat Soko Banana which was originally crowdfunded in 2019 and pays homage to classic 8-bit Sōko-ban games that require you to move crates around to solve puzzles. The formula has had a refresh with the addition of shunting the crates of bananas further than the traditional one square.

You lay as Skid the monkey who is trying to save the Great Banana Festival. His mission is to sort out all the crates filled with bananas while also collecting the three loose bananas that will unlock extra levels. Some levels also have other objects to interact with to mix u the puzzle gameplay. Remember, downloading the latest Evercade Game of the Month deletes last month’s title.
