We previously reported that the Antstream Arcade retro gaming streaming service, which boasts a catalogue of over 1,300 titles, was heading to PlayStation following its success on other platforms, beginning with its 2019 launch on Windows, before expanding to platforms including iOS, Android and Xbox. However, at the time of reporting, the service’s launch date on PlayStation was not known.
That launch date is unknown no longer, as Antstream have now confirmed, via a story on GameRant, that Anstream Arcade will begin streaming its retro goodness into PlayStation 4s and PlayStation 5s from 10:00 AM BST this Friday, 6th September 2024, from which time you’ll be able to buy a subscription to the service on the PS Store.
The release of Antstream Arcade for PlayStation marks the first time a third-party cloud streaming service for games has been made available on the platform. The Antstream Arcade catalogue includes over 1,300 games from a variety of platforms from the 1980s up to the 2000s.
