Yesterday we told you that a Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase would be held today, and so it was. And we certainly weren’t disappointed by the announcements. Among the big hitters was the announcement of Capcom Fighting Collection 2, a sequel to 2022’s Capcom Fighting Collection, which will compile eight of Capcom’s classic fighting games.
The games in question are Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro, Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Project Justice, Capcom Fighting Evolution, Street Fighter Alpha 3: Upper, Plasma Sword, Power Stone, and Power Stone 2.
In addition to the Switch version announced during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 will also be released for PS4 and PC (Steam), so it looks like Xbox gamers are missing out again, as they did with the previously announced Marvel vs. Capcom collection. Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is due for release on an as yet unspecified date in 2025.
