Sometimes we get asked to help with product launches, and who are we to say no, especially when the product is based on Faith’s favourite thing in the world? Yes, there is a new Sonic product for us to get excited for.

KessCo, the wonderful folks behind Sonic Roll and other video game-related board games, has a new card game getting ready to launch called Sonic Speed Battle. RetroFaith is proud to showcase one of the character cards for the game and KessCo gave us one of Faith’s favourite Sonic characters.

So without further ado, we introduce Espio, one of 24 Sonic characters available to use in the game. Espio first appeared in Knuckles Chaotix on the Mega Drive 32X before joining the battle in Sonic The Fighters for arcades way back then. He has also appeared in Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Rivals 2 and Sonic Colors.

Sonic Speed Battle is based on Sonic Adventure 2 Battle which is handy given the upcoming Sonic 3 movie looks to be heading the same way. KessCo has let us know that you can buy Sonic Speed Battle game at PAX West and that it will be available in stores nationwide after that. There is no news if the game will be released outside of the US, but we’ll let you know once we know more.
