We love our GB games at Retro Faith, especially when they are released on physical carts. Well-know GB devs Gumpy Function and Ben Jelter have teamed up with Limited Run Games to release Unearthed 2024 for a physical release that is currently up for pre-order. You still have until 25th August 2024 to secure your copy but those who miss out can still buy the game ROM digitally to use on emulators and SD-card carts.

The game is compatible with both original GB and GBC as well as Analogue Pocket. Any physical purchases will come with a complimentary ROM. Furthermore, those on the fence can try the demo before purchasing.

Unearthed 2024 is an updated version of the original 2021 release that won the GBCOMPO21 Game Jam. It’s an adventure title set in a dystopian future where humanity has depleted all its resources.

You play as Max who is tasked with delving into the depths of planets, navigating perilous caverns and solving a multitude of puzzles to retrieve your quota of mineral resources and provide for your loving family back on Earth. As you progress through hundreds of levels, Max will be rewarded with achievements for obtaining better scores which adds replay value.
