Our friends over at Mega Cat Studios have announced two NES puzzle games are being released on 26th August 2024. Tenebra, and its sequel Tenebra 2, is an award-winning series of puzzle games that require you to guide your hero through the darkness.

Tenebra won Best Puzzle Game at 2022 Planeta Sinclair Awards and has now found its way to prolific retro publisher Mega Cat Studios. The two-game set will be avaliable as a physical cart or as a ROM to use on emulators.

Tenebra features a unique 8-bit-style presentation and intriguing puzzle gameplay. There are 31 levels in the first game 35 levels in the second filled with puzzling action. You’ll need to move torches around to create paths and ignite braziers to push the darkness back.
