New Evercade Hardware hit by Delays

Originally set for release in July 2024, the release date for the newest Evercade handheld, the Evercade EXP-R had previously slipped to 30th August 2024. However, Blaze Entertainment have issued a statement stating that they have “discovered a significant issue with the production run.” Due to this, the release of the Evercade EXP-R has now been delayed to November 2024.

The delay also affects the Evercade TATE Grip. No other Evercade products are affected, with the Evercade VS-R home console, the Tomb Raider Collection 1 cartridge, and Thalamus Collection 1 cartridge still on course for their 30th August 2024 release.

Blaze Entertainment CEO Andrew Byatt has apologised for the delay, stating that “[w]e are deeply sorry about the unexpected delay and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve these issues. Whilst these things can happen, we always try to get a product to you in the time we set out to, but we will not risk a defective product arriving in your hands and we hope that you all understand the decision to hold the release until it is ready.”
