Blaze Entertainment typically announce and release Evercade cartridges in pairs, so ever since we reported on the announcement of The Bitmap Brothers Collection 2, we’ve been waiting with bated breath to see which cartridge will be accompanying it.

Now we have the answer. The next Evercade cartridge will be The Legacy of Kain Collection 1, which will comprise the first two Legacy of Kain titles, namely Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. Both titles are dark fantasy action adventure games that were originally released on PlayStation.

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain was first released in 996, with Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver following in 1999.

Being CD-based games the release neccessitates Evercade’s GigaCart format. GigaCart releases retail for £22.49 rather than the usual Evercade price point of £17.99. The Legacy of Kain Collection 1 will be only the second Evercade GigaCart release, following the Tomb Raider Collection 1.

The Legacy of Kain Collection 1 is set for release in September 2024.
