Some good news coming out of PlayStation with all three TimeSplitters games coming to PS Plus Classic Catalogue on 20th August 2024. TimeSplitters is an iconic FPS series from the sixth generation of games and it was one of a handful of games that helped consoles catch up with PC gaming’s dominance of the genre.

Many fans of the series felt it built on the good work Rare did on bringing Goldeneye and Perfect Dark to console gamers. The first Timepslitters game was released between Perfect Dark and Halo and was a big hit with those wanting fast-paced multiplayer action. The sequels were equally as popular but the series faded out around 2005.

Now we have the chance to relive the fun although looking through PlayStation’s social media pages it’s clear fans of the series are crying out for a HD remake. Time will tell and if enough folks play these classic releases we may just see a new game or a remake of the originals soon.
